PENReports

From reviewed findings to a draft report.

PEN brings findings across from SCOUT, rewrites each in report language with its sources, and drafts the background, conclusion and executive summary. It flags any figure it can’t trace, and it leaves a gap for the auditor rather than filling it.

Real PEN output, from a demonstration organisation built on synthetic documents.

How it works

PEN, step by step.

In the language your committee reads

Reports come out in the engagement’s language — English, Arabic or French — and Arabic Word files run right to left.

Import and enhance

Bring findings across from SCOUT and enhance each one: rewritten in report language, grounded in your library, with the documents behind it shown.

Check the figures

Every figure in a rewritten finding is traced back to the original finding and its sources. Anything PEN can’t trace is flagged for you to verify.

Blank stays blank

Where a fact is missing, PEN leaves it for the auditor: the Word export marks the field “To be completed by auditor” instead of inventing an answer.

Finalise and lock

Only findings an auditor has marked Reviewed go into the report. Finalising locks the report and its findings, and reopening it is recorded.

Stays with the auditor

Sign-off. You mark each finding Reviewed, and you decide when the report is final.

What you get

  • Audit report (.docx)
  • In English, Arabic or French
  • Findings in report language, with their sources shown

Straight answers

Does PEN add facts or figures of its own?
It is instructed not to. Every figure in a rewritten finding is checked against the original finding and its sources, anything it can’t trace is flagged, and missing facts are left for the auditor to complete.
What format does the report come out in?
Microsoft Word (.docx), in the engagement’s language: English, Arabic or French.
Can we still edit the report?
Yes. Every section and finding can be edited until the report is finalised. After that it is locked, and reopening it is recorded.

The litmus test for trust.
